Product Description

The automatic cap-washing system offered by Crystal Cap Cleaners Inc. provides effective, effortless cap washing in a compact unit designed with longevity and ease of maintenance in mind. The entire unit is contained in one 316 stainless steel container and can be mounted anywhere in the paint booth. The wash system is controlled using one solvent and one air supply valve. A self-propelled, rotating high-impact wash head is the essence of the cap cleaning procedure.

Operation

Crystal Cap Cleaners' patented design incorporates a rotating impeller unit that directs the force of two high impact nozzles directly at the air cap which is sealed by an O-ring. This approach sees the purge solvent striking the cap from a continuously changing direction. Due to the effectiveness of the high impact nozzles in motion, solvent usage is minimal, keeping the unit free of paint build up. Our round vessel design contributes to the continuous flushing action of the drive nozzles.

After washing, Crystal Cap Cleaners' design simply uses the existing impeller to dry the air caps. This approach eliminates the need for air knives, which can get clogged while exposed to the booth environment. Additionally, the impeller consumes less air, and does not need extra piping, or high capacity valves. A 2" NPT drain port is provided at the bottom of the unit for connection to a solvent recovery system, or to direct the waste from the unit through the booth grate or into a holding container.
