Quality Control Assurance
The Electro Press can sense and record data relating to operations performed on
a given workpiece. Workers can be alerted when data is above or below an
acceptable range, so that substandard parts can be fixed or rejected.
The standard RS232C connector on the press allows transfer of operation data to
a PC, where it can be edited and printed. Actual applied pressure ranges can be
evaluated to judge material strength, etc.
Capabilities
Ram pressure, position, pressing time and speed can all be precisely controlled.
A highly sensitive strain gauge reads applied pressure. An internal 32 bit CPU
drives the servomotor and ball screw for exacting applied pressure. Ram
positioning can be controlled in micron increments.
Models for in-line or stand-alone operation

Head and Unit models are specifically designed for incorporation in a production
line. Lacking a base, they can be mounted so as to apply pressure in an upward,
downward or horizontal direction. Therefore, the Electro Press has the
flexibility to adapt to the requirements of any production line.
Easy and Convenient programmability
The combination of the large LCD display plus the dialog-style software
interface allows even novice users to input operation data. The Unit model comes
with a detachable teaching pendant for entering work data. Operators can
register not only target load pressure but an allowable load pressure range.
One hundred separate operation programs can be stored in memory. In this way, a
single press can be quickly set up to perform numerous small-lot or specialized
operations.
Uses no air or hydraulic attachments
Because the Electro Press does not rely on air or hydraulic attachments, no
space is taken up with unnecessary tubing. The work area remains clean, quiet
and uncluttered.
Safety
A watchdog installed in the CPU guards against an uncontrolled run of the press.
An optional area sensor is also available which can be mounted to a worktable to
prevent accidents from occurring.
Unit of measurement
Pressure readings can be expressed in Newtons, kilograms or pounds, and length /
speed can be shown in millimeters or inches.
Easy upgrading
You can easily upgrade the Electro Press software via our exclusive memory card.
Trouble free operation
The built-in AC servomotor ensures long-lasting, trouble free service. There is
never any need to change batteries, since the data can be stored in flash
memory. Should any abnormal condition arise, it is self-diagnosed and a solution
can be implemented in a short time.
