Color Fiber Optic Systems

The CSS Multiple Color Recognition System and FES-M series are designed to monitor color online and In-Process. Both use fiber optic cable to get the best color transmission results.

Using the three field method (RGB) plus intensity, the FES measures the actual color of the target. The FES can be used to sort product based on color, verify the correct color product is present before assembly, etc. The FES color sensor is used in packaging, material handling, pharmaceutical, textile, and all other manufacturing applications where color is an important part of the assembling process.

The FES has an optional multiple teach function that allows teaching multiple samples in the same channel with automatic tolerance adjustment. This feature is essential in applications involving varying color consistency (i.e. varying paint applied to the same part) and separates the FES from its competition.

The CSS Multiple Color Recognition System is a microprocessor based system with the capability of monitoring up to 15 colors or a sequence of colors. The CSS-MCR system is specifically designed for use with the CSS series color sensor and the CSS-LS-10 light source. The CSS-MCR utilizes special color recognition software that is menu driven with four soft-key pushbuttons for easy operation. The CSS-MCR system provides an optional serial output port for printer or PC compatibility to collect or view the color values.

The CSS-MCR system operates in accordance with the three color method (RGB - Red, Green, Blue), plus intensity. The reflected light from an illuminated object is separated into its three fundamental color components by the CSS color receiver. These values are digitized and compared with the taught-in values from the master part. The recognized color is displayed on the LCD screen. Colors are taught into the system by a simple touch of a button. the stored colors remain even after the system is powered down.

We bring to you two of the most advanced Color Monitoring Systems available today.
