PC - Assembly Monitoring System
The
PC-Assembly Monitoring System (PC-AMS) provides the most advanced,
state-of-the-art technology developed to date. PC-AMS is another
first and is used in multi-ram (non-synchronous) applications. 5,
10, 15 stations or more can all be monitored at the same time. this
system has revolutionized multi-spindle monitoring capability and
has reduced cost of per ram monitoring by more than 30%.
Differential, signature analysis (see below) is the monitoring
strategy. The self-teaching PC-AMS takes the values from a master
assembly and compares this to each part run through the machine.
Easily
adjusted,
control parameters are set up by the customer and an alarm is given
whenever a part is outside of the parameter. The PC-AMS takes its
data from force and position sensors provided as part of the total
system.
Differential monitoring systems are suited for a wide variety of
assembly applications. The ability for the PC-AMS to be used in
retrofit applications allows it to be used in many applications.
Some of the applications include crimping, staking, riveting, and
press fit applications. The PC-AMS detects faults such as tight fit,
no part present, loose fit, wrong part, part mis-aligned, full depth
exceeded, etc. With our custom software and data acquisition
capability, the PC-AMS is the all-around solution to your In-Process
assembly applications.
End users of finished goods are demanding that component
manufacturers be in control of "bad parts". This allows
certification of each component made and verifies that it has been
assembled to a master standard. The PC-AMS offers the most advanced
solution to any assembly problem.
