Adaptive Learn
|

Adaptive learn alarming is ideal for high speed forming
operations where changes in material thickness, hardness or temper happens very
quickly. This alarming option continuously adjusts the upper and lower control
limits based on the average tonnage developed during the previous 100 machine
strokes. Selecting this Adaptive learning technique will guarantee you the
tightest alarm bandwidth without nuisance shutdowns.

Area Under the Curve
Utilizing Helm signature analysis techniques, this alarming method
continuously monitors the energy curve that is generated as each part is formed.
If any area of the forming signature changes, machine shutdown is initiated.
Applications for area under the curve alarming include presses performing deep
draw or stretch forming operations and machines using nitrogen die cylinders.
This feature provides accurate thru-the-stroke tonnage monitoring without the
need of a resolver. |
Trend
The Trend alarm option allows you to select the "quality window" the process
must operate within. These limits are selectable from plus or minus 5% to 45%,
in 5% increments. Once the forming process begins, the Trend alarms are
automatically set above and below the benchmark tonnage value. Machine shutdown
is activated if the forming force varies outside the monitoring range. |
